Over the past few years, many people have made the shift from working in an office to working remotely or at home. That statistic has just gone through the roof since the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic. Whether it be temporary or the new norm for you, what does this mean for your physical health?
Sure, the idea of rolling out of bed and going to work in your pyjamas sounds like a dream come true. But in reality, it does more harm than good to your mental and physical health.
Whether you’ve been working from home for years, or are just getting started, it’s not as easy or fun as one might think. There are mental hurdles to overcome, such as the feeling of isolation, lack of motivation, time management, self-discipline, work-life balance getting blurred, and the list goes on. With regards to physical hurdles, the aches and pains of sitting at a desk all day causes the need to arise to stay active in the workplace to ward off lifestyle-related health problems.
Below is a list of some of the problems you could face physically, due to working at home. We will be posting a variety of solutions to avoid, prevent, or help heal some of these issues on our Facebook and Instagram in the coming weeks. Follow us to get some key insights.
