So what conditions can be treated using acupuncture? Well it is mainly used in western medicine to relieve discomfort caused by a number of different conditions, including:

  • Lower back pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Headaches (tension headaches and migraines)
  • Tennis elbow
  • Neck pain
  • Labor pain
  • Menstrual cramps and more

It can also help strengthen the immune system by increasing blood flow and antibody levels. It stimulates natural painkillers in the body called endorphins that are even stronger than morphine. It even affects neurotransmitters that can help the body cope with stress, depression, and mood disorders.
