Stretch Smart!

Stretch smart! ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธย 

Warm up with dynamic stretches and cool down with static ones. Your joints and muscles will thank you. Here are some examples of both and when to use them!

๐Ÿ’ฅ Dynamic Stretches (Before Exercise)

These get your body moving and muscles warm:

Leg Swings โ€“ Forward and backward leg swings to loosen hips.

Arm Circles โ€“ Big circles with your arms to warm up shoulders.

Walking Lunges โ€“ Step forward into a lunge, alternating legs.

Torso Twists โ€“ Rotate your upper body side to side gently.

๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ Static Stretches (After Exercise)

These are held positions to relax and lengthen muscles:

  1. Hamstring Stretch โ€“ Sit or stand, reach for your toes.ย 
  2. Quad Stretch โ€“ Pull your heel toward your glutes while standing.ย 
  3. Shoulder Stretch โ€“ Pull one arm across your chest.ย 
  4. Calf Stretch โ€“ Lean into a wall with one leg extended behind.ย
